Electric bikes are permitted (Richmond Valley Council). Trail-wide rules allow bicycles and e-bicycles up to 250 W; e-scooters and petrol-powered bicycles are not permitted.

Highlights

• Naughtons Gap railway tunnel, home to a colony of bent-winged bats
• Heritage stations at Casino and Lismore, plus restored rail bridges (Bentley, Back Creek, Oakey Creek)
• Richmond Valley section officially opened 23 March 2024, with a lookout rest area above the tunnel

• Made up of the Richmond Valley section (Old Casino Station to Bentley, 13.4 km) and Lismore to Bentley (16.3 km)
• Approach to Naughtons Gap Tunnel has a slope of up to 15%
• Drinking water at Lismore Railway Station, Nesbitt Park and the Rifle Range Road rest stop (about 5 km from Lismore station)
• Toilets at Old Casino Station, Bentley Road car park, Lismore Railway Station and Nesbitt Park
