Contacting an owner without revealing them
If you allow it, someone who checks your bike can send you a message through EbikeMate. We pass it on by email — they never see your name or email address, and you decide whether to reply.
When you sell
When you transfer a Bike Passport to a buyer, your private notes, receipts and documents are removed first. The buyer gets the bike’s identity and history — not your details.
Who else can see what
- Our team can view records to resolve disputes and stop fraud. Every time they open a private record it is logged.
- Police — we only share private details when the law requires it, for example a valid request from an Australian police service.
- We never sell your personal information.
Your control
- Choose your bike’s public photo, or show none.
- Turn owner messages on or off.
- Remove a bike from your account at any time. Its event history is kept for fraud prevention, without your details.
