Verification levels

Every passport shows how much has been confirmed — so a buyer knows what they are looking at.

  1. RegisteredThe owner has recorded the bike and its serial.
  2. Evidence providedA photo of the serial and proof of purchase are on file.
  3. Retailer registeredA verified shop registered it at the point of sale.
  4. Ownership transferredIt passed to its current owner through an EbikeMate transfer.
  5. High confidenceSeveral of the above, with a clean history.

A completeness score

Your passport shows how complete it is — serial, model, photos, serial photo, proof of purchase, battery, motor, distinguishing marks and contact preference. A fuller passport is more useful if the bike is stolen, and more convincing when you sell.

Is it free?

Yes. Registering and keeping a Bike Passport is free.

Is this a government register?

No. EbikeMate is an independent, 100% Australian owned private platform. A Bike Passport does not replace a police report, insurance or any government registration or compliance label.

Who can see my details?

Only you. Public checks show the bike, not the owner. How privacy works.

What if someone has already registered my serial?

You can still submit it. We open a dispute, ask both people for evidence, and our team decides — nothing is overwritten automatically.

Brand not listed? Pick by motor system — parts follow the motor, not the badge on the frame.

Where are you?

Your postcode decides what you can see. Batteries are pickup only, so they only show to buyers near the seller, and some items are not shown in every state.
