City of Gold Coast's Oceanway pages do not mention e-bikes. Queensland rules: compliant e-bikes only (max 250 W, assistance to 25 km/h). On shared paths, follow the signed limit and slow to 12 km/h when passing pedestrians. The age and licence rules from 31 August 2026 apply on urban shared paths: riders must be 16+ with at least a learner licence, unless supervised or exempt.
