What makes an e-bike legal(Queensland)

An e-bike must be pedal-assist, stop helping at 25 km/h and have a motor of 250 W continuous rated power or less. A throttle may only work up to 6 km/h. Since 31 August 2026 riders must be 16 or older and hold at least a learner licence, with exemptions. From 1 March 2027 a compliance label is required to ride(public.)
