E-bike compliance checks: shops near you

From 1 March 2027 an e-bike ridden in public in Queensland needs a compliance label. Bikes without an EN 15194 label can be inspected and labelled by an approved verifier under the E-Bike (EPAC) Assurance Scheme — expected to open on 2 November 2026, for up to $70.

No shops listed for compliance checks yet.

The scheme is expected to open on 2 November 2026. Get a reminder and we’ll email you before the deadline — by then shops near you will be listed here. Meanwhile, find an e-bike shop and ask whether they’re becoming a verifier.

Before you book

  • Check your bike meets the basics with the 1-minute checker.
  • Bring proof of purchase if you have it, and the charger and keys.
  • A bike that has been unlocked or is over 250 W can’t be labelled.

If you are an approved verifier, tick E-bike compliance checks in your showroom settings and owners will find you here. Listing is free, and the first 50 verified shops get Pro free for six months.

EbikeMate is independent and not a government service. A Bike Passport is not a compliance label. Always check the official sources: E-bike rules in Queensland and the E-Bike (EPAC) Assurance Scheme. This is general information, not legal advice.

Shops choose their own services. EbikeMate checks each business’s ABN but does not approve verifiers — confirm with the shop, or check the Queensland Government’s scheme page.

Where are you?

Your postcode decides what you can see. Batteries are pickup only, so they only show to buyers near the seller, and some items are not shown in every state.
