E-bike rules on this trail
The council page says personal mobility devices are allowed on Brisbane's bikeways but does not mention e-bikes specifically. Queensland rules: compliant e-bikes only (max 250 W, assistance to 25 km/h). On shared paths, follow the signed limit and slow to 12 km/h when passing pedestrians. This is an urban bikeway, not a listed recreational area, so the age and licence rules from 31 August 2026 apply: riders must be 16+ with at least a learner licence, unless supervised or exempt.
