澳洲的E-bikes that aren’t road legal
52 models whose published specs exceed 250 W or 25 km/h — 4 of them found on sale(Australia, the rest overseas versions.)
Within the limits = up to 250 W rated power, with assistance stopping at 25 km/h. How we decide
These models’ published specs go over the pedal-assist limits — more than 250 W rated power, or motor assistance above 25 km/h. Ridden on public roads and paths they aren’t legal e-bikes(most states; they can be ridden on private property. In Queensland, police can seize and destroy illegal e-bikes, and the fine for a non-compliant e-bike is listed at $621.)
Not(this list?) Check your own e-bike(a minute) 或 search all models.
Many of them are overseas versions. Several brands sell a compliant 250 W version of the same model(Australia, and some don’t sell here at all. We checked where each one is sold on 11 October 2026.)

Not sold(Australia by the brand)
23These brands don’t sell or ship to Australia, going by their own websites. An imported one wouldn’t be a legal e-bike here.
Overseas versions — Australian availability not confirmed
25We found these specs on overseas pages and couldn’t confirm an Australian seller. If one is sold here, check whether it’s a 250 W version before you buy.

常見問題
Can police take an illegal e-bike(Queensland?)
Yes. Since 1 July 2026 Queensland police can seize, impound and destroy illegal e-bikes, such as bikes rated over 250 W or with a throttle that works above 6 km/h.
Why does the same e-bike have different specs(different countries?)
Many brands sell a faster, more powerful version(the US (often 500–750 W and 32–45 km/h) and a 250 W, 25 km/h version in Australia and Europe under the same model name. Check the Australian listing and the label on the bike.)
EbikeMate doesn’t sell these bikes or review them, and a listing here isn’t an endorsement. Specs change between model years and markets. Spotted an error? 告訴我們.
