• Two legal types: power-assisted pedal cycles up to 200 W, and EPACs up to 250 W cutting out at 25 km/h. ACT e-bike laws

Taking your e-bike on public transport

• Buses: over 90% have racks for two bikes (max 25 kg each); drivers can’t help load.
• Light rail: four bike racks per vehicle, and bikes must use them.

Main bikeways and paths

• Belconnen Bikeway — Florey to Belconnen Town Centre, the University of Canberra, Bruce and the AIS.
• Lake Burley Griffin loops (Central 5 km, Eastern 9 km) and the 145 km Canberra Centenary Trail.

Secure bike parking

• Six Transport Canberra secure bike cages (MyWay card), plus five free Park & Pedal car parks.
