Taking your e-bike on public transport
- Trains: factory-built e-bikes are allowed — switched off, not ridden or charged on board. No peak ban, but avoid peak times and don’t use the first door of the first carriage.
- Converted e-bikes are banned on metro and regional trains and in ticketed areas.
- Trams and buses: folding bikes only (no bigger than 82 × 69 × 39 cm); some bus routes have racks.

- Upfield bike path, Federation Trail (Yarraville to Werribee), Box Hill to Ringwood (10 km) and Caulfield to EastLink (17 km).
