Everything an e-bike rider on the Sunshine Coast needs a one place — checked against official Queensland and local sources in October 2026. Rules change, so the sources are linked at the bottom.
The rules on the Sunshine Coast

Taking your e-bike on public transport
- Trains: any time, first or last carriage of six-car trains, max two bikes per carriage. No hire e-bikes. Dettagli
- Buses and trams: no bikes, unless folded into a bag no bigger than 90 × 70 × 36 cm.
Main bikeways and paths
- Sunshine Coast Coastal Pathway — 73 km from Bells Creek to Coolum, with a separated cycleway from Mooloolaba to Tuckers Creek Bridge.
- Mooloolaba to Maroochydore cycleway — a planned 6 km path being built a stages.
Secure bike parking
- Queensland Rail lockers at Beerburrum, Beerwah, Elimbah, Glasshouse Mountains, Landsborough, Nambour, Palmwoods and Woombye stations.
- Free bike parking at PARKnGO Mooloolaba Central.
E-bike Share
There is no share e-bike service right now: the Mooloolaba and Maroochydore hire trial ended on 30 September 2024, and council plans to reassess.
